At age five, I leaped off the stage in terror. Ever since then, I knew I had to be a performer.
I was raised in the sweet suburbs of New Jersey where my life revolved around Drama Club and weekend trips to Broadway. After graduating from college, I decided to finally take the plunge and disappoint my parents by diving full-time into acting.
My theater credits include "Miss Reardon Drinks A Little" and "Happy Hour." I also originated the role of Mrs. Kapoor in the off-Broadway production of "Bollywood Wedding." My film projects include Turtle Race -- a College Humor web-series produced by Brian Baumgartner. I have performed stand-up comedy as my alter ego "Masala Mami" for several years in both New York and Boston. My recent Los Angeles credits include commercials for Time Warner and a Daryl Wein-directed ad for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.
I have trained at the Atlantic Theatre Company, T-Schreiber Studio, The Groundlings, and UCB. I am also a classically trained Indian dancer/ choreographer. And in case I ever need it (hopefully not), I have a BA in Psychology from Smith College.
In my free time, I do Zumba, frequent L.A. food trucks, and offer unsolicited love advice to friends.
